LOBA is committed to developing sustainable systems that extend the life cycle of floors. In keeping with that approach, the new seamless mineral finish LOBA StyleFloor is now launching. It is ideal for renovation projects, can be applied over existing floors and gives plenty of scope for individual design.
Designed for inspiring spaces
With ten attractive colours, two decorative textures and three surface finishes, the LOBA Style System offers a wide range of options for an individual minimalist interior design. The palette runs from cool greys and warm natural shades to on‑trend Aloe and Ice. Depending on the concept, the flooring blends in harmoniously or creates a fresh accent. Two application techniques create distinctive textures: trowelled for a calm, even look or brushed for a more dynamic feel. For surface protection, different sealing options are available to meet a range of technical requirements.
Ready for use – from residential to commercial
LOBA StyleFloor is an ideal choice for homes and light commercial areas, from living rooms to showrooms. In residential settings, the seamless surface is hygienic and easy to maintain. It can also be combined with underfloor heating for added comfort. In commercial spaces, LOBA’s seamless mineral floor creates a generous, open impression. It makes retail areas feel larger, enhances the exclusive look of boutiques and turns cafés into real eye‑catchers.
Floor renovation – versatile, efficient, sustainable
Thanks to its very low build‑up height, LOBA StyleFloor is particularly well suited for overlay installations over existing floors. It saves waste, energy and material because it can be used on a wide range of substrates – from new installations to existing PVC, linoleum, tile and trowelled mineral flooring. Where needed, the existing floor should be levelled to create a ready‑to‑install substrate. For optimal results, the following levelling compounds from the proven and guaranteed LOBA WAKOL – Connected Systems are recommended: WAKOL Z 715, Z 610, Z 615, Z 625, Z 630, Z 635, Z 515, A 830.
LOBA StyleFloor can significantly extend the service life of existing floors, even where there is noticeable wear. Compared with a full renovation, such as replacing the floor with LVT, LOBA’s mineral finish can greatly reduce labour time and downtime. Fast drying times between coats also help keep projects moving.
Thought through layer by layer – easy to apply
With optimally coordinated steps, the LOBA Style System delivers a safe, durable result:
Prime the ready‑to‑install substrate with LOBA StylePrep. Then mix the liquid component of LOBA StyleFloor with LOBA StyleColor in the required shade, and finally stir in the powder component using the LOBA double‑blade mixer.
After mixing, the material can be applied for up to 40 minutes. Use the LOBA master trowel and Trowel blade S1 to achieve the correct layer thickness of below 1 mm. Depending on the selected look, smooth the material using either the LOBA Venetian trowel or the LOBA texturing brush. Important: the application technique determines the texture of the finished floor.
After 12 hours of drying time, the surface can be walked on with overshoes. It is then sanded using a single‑disc machine and LOBASAND DoubleDisc P120, vacuumed thoroughly, primed with LOBA StyleBase and, after at least three hours’ drying time, finished with just one coat of LOBA 2K Style.
To meet different project requirements, two additional sealing options are available: either EasyFinish Neo, a particularly easy‑to‑use and durable product based on renewable raw materials, or the new, highly chemical‑resistant 2K Resist. These sealers are applied in two coats over the surface primed with StyleBase.
Products in the LOBA Style System are very low‑emission in accordance with EMICODE® EC1 / EC1PLUS, making them safe to apply and safe in use. All accessories are available within the LOBA product range.
