LOBA 2K ImpactOil & 2K ImpactOil Color with new formulation – now overcoatable!

The overcoatable versions of these two globally proven high-solid oils are now available.

Our two well-established solutions in the oil range, transparent 2K ImpactOil and coloured 2K ImpactOil Color, are now available with a new formulation. The enhanced versions of these two high-solid oils can not only be used as impregnating oils, but can also be overcoated with one of the approved LOBA finishes or with LOBA HardwaxOil. This allows you to create floors with the popular oiled look while tailoring the surface precisely to the visual and technical requirements of each project. Combine the natural appearance of oiled wood with the durability and ease of care of a finished floor.

 

3 systems, 3 surfaces, wider range of applications:

  1. Impregnating oiled surface with 2K ImpactOil or 2K ImpactOil Color
  2. Finished surface with 2K ImpactOil or 2K ImpactOil Color plus a LOBA finish
  3. Film-forming oiled surface with 2K ImpactOil or 2K ImpactOil Color plus LOBA HardwaxOil

Thanks to their optimised formulation, the new solvent-free 2K ImpactOil and 2K ImpactOil Color can be used as oil primers before the application of a wide range of approved LOBA finishes. This creates durable, easy-to-clean surfaces with the characteristically rich and distinctive appearance of an oiled floor. By selecting the appropriate top coat, you can adapt the surface flexibly to the requirements of a wide variety of applications – from residential to commercial and public areas, and from light to heavy use.

 

Proven benefits:

Both products retain the proven benefits of their predecessors: the 2K high-solid oils containing linseed oil can still be used as stand-alone impregnating finishes, creating a natural look and feel that brings out the character and beauty of the wood.

The range of 17 colour options also remains unchanged. The colours can be mixed with each other and with the transparent version, allowing individual floor designs and precise adjustment of the colour intensity. Pre-treatment with the pigmented stain PreTone can be used to intensify the colour effect.

The new oils are very low emission in accordance with EMICODE® EC1PLUS, slip-resistant in accordance with DIN EN 16165:2021-12 for work areas, oxime- and cobalt-free, and suitable for children’s toys in accordance with DIN EN 71-3.

The following LOBA finishes are approved for overcoating the new versions of 2K ImpactOil and 2K ImpactOil Color:

Please note:

  • Price: The new 2K ImpactOil and 2K ImpactOil Color are priced the same as their respective predecessors.
  • The new 2K ImpactOil and 2K ImpactOil Color must not be mixed with the previous versions.
  • The previous versions of 2K ImpactOil and 2K ImpactOil Color are not overcoatable.
  • The previous non-overcoatable versions remain available while stocks last.

You can identify the new, overcoatable versions by the following features:

  • New container with a practical easy-pour spout
  • New article number: 10613-... (the colour numbers remain unchanged)
  • “Overcoatable” marking on the label
