- For professional Use only!
- BEFORE USING, READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL LABEL INSTRUCTIONS AND MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS.
- For technical advice call our Loba-Wakol Technical Service at 1-800.230.6456.
- ALWAYS PREPARE A SAMPLE OR TEST AREA TO DETERMINE COMPATIBILITY, APPEARANCE, AND DESIRED RESULTS.
- Do not thin. Do not add water.
- Transfer material to a LOBA coating bucket before applying.
- Optimum climate conditions are 60°F to 80°F (15°C to 25°C), relative humidity 40% to 75%, material temperature 60°F to 80°F (15°C to 25°C).
- Do not apply to surfaces exposed to hot or strong sunlight, as the applied coating may dry too quickly. Do not apply if rain is expected within 3 hours of application.
- If in doubt, create a test area to determine compatibility, adhesion and appearance. The results may vary depending on the type of wood, especially with oily, resinous and chemically pre-treated woods.
- Avoid drips falling on the surface, smooth out any drips immediately with a brush.
- WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint from wood floors, you may release lead dust. Follow local and/or federal requirements for lead removal. Before you start, find out how to protect yourself and others by contacting the National Lead Information Hotline at 1-800-424-LEAD or log on to www.epa.gov/lead.
Application Tool
LOBA Oilbrush, brush, non-linting clothCoverage
105-270 square feet per 2.5l container. The actual material coverage depends on the type of wood, the wood moisture content, and the surface's weathering. An optimized impregnation / protective effect can only be assured if fiber saturation (maximum oil uptake by the wood) is achieved. This state can only be achieved on vertical surface especially (e.g. on wall panels) after multiple applications.Drying time
- approx. 12 hours.
Preparation:
- Remove any dirt, moss or old paint beforehand if required.
- Newly installed, largely closed-pore timbers are often unable to absorb adequate quantities of oil, so therefore the pores will first have to be "opened". Please find the recommended preparation in our technical information of LOBA DeckDegrayer.
Processing:
- Apply LOBA DeckOil evenly using a brush, LOBA Oil-brush or non-linting cloth in the direction of the grain.
- Allow the material to penetrate for approximately 30 minutes, completely remove any un-absorbed oil using non-linting cloth. A single-disc machine with LOBASAND SpecialPad beige can be used optionally.
- For wood furniture, especially seating, rub until virtually dry using absorbent towels.
- If necessary, after drying overnight, apply another layer of oil.

Compatibility
When this product is used in combination with other LOBA products the technical information of these products must be followed. Refer to the Technical Data Sheets. LOBA cannot guarantee the suitability of products other than LOBA.Cleaning of tools: Clean tools with solvents such as brush cleaner.
Cure Time: The stated drying and cure times are based on ideal conditions (68°F, 50% rH) at the recommended application rates. Insufficient ventilation, high humidity, lower temperatures, increased coat thickness can prolong the curing process considerably. Do not cover floors, replace carpets or rugs, or clean floors with a damp mop/cloth before the final curing has been reached. Remaining excessive material will prolong curing. On some exotic woods curing time can be extended.
Safety Precautions: Flammable solvent vapors emerge during the drying process when working with products containing high quantities of solvents. As a result, fire, open flame, welding, smoking and so on are prohibited in the immediate vicinity of such products. Ventilate working areas and storage rooms well. Electrical equipment in workrooms and ancillary rooms must be switched off in sufficient time to ensure that they are cold when work begins. Any spark generation, including on electrical equipment, must be avoided. Keep material containers tightly closed. Solvent sensitive components, plants or animals (fish tanks) must be removed from areas at risk of exposure to solvent vapors.
First Aid: If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call for medical help immediately. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If breathing is difficult or other respiratory complaints, remove to fresh air and get medical attention. In case of eye contact, immediately flush eyes for several minutes under running water. Generally, this product does not cause skin irritation. Call a physician if irritation occurs.
