Safe, anti-slip flooring is the best guarantee for effective accident prevention.

Public buildings, work rooms and spaces in particular require anti-slip floors to minimise the risk of accidents due to slipping. Anti-slip properties are defined by the DIN EN 16165 standard. LOBA is a pioneer in developing anti-slip finishes and oils for parquet and wood floors.

Our certified, low-emission systems can be used to implement safe, anti-slip finished and oiled wood surfaces in classes R9 and R10. Different anti-slip evaluation groups are distinguished. These are expressed as so-called anti-slip values (R) and determined in laboratory tests.

R9

Anti-slip parquet and wood floors of evaluation group R9 comply with the requirements for public entrance areas, work areas, break and recreation rooms, company canteens and comparable areas, for example.

R10

An anti-slip surface of evaluation group R10 meets the requirements for floors in applications such as sanitary rooms in schools and kindergartens and in-house teaching kitchens. Flooring of evaluation group R10 is recommended for barrier-free rooms as well.

LOBA finishes, available in different gloss levels, achieve anti-slip properties of evaluation group R9. Adding the SlipResist additive to the final finish coat achieves certified R10 anti-slip surface properties. This this is the flexible way to obtain the right anti-slip properties for various ranges of use.
